Social service is a branch to aid needy or disadvantaged people. Although social service is a pathway to help someone, it needs a capacity of great compassion if not there is an improper function. The relevancy of great compassion with social service exists because while doing social service it is not an easy task. The person who provides social services needs years of practice and experience that is great compassion. It is a place of “learning by doing” where the social worker practices and learns therapeutic process for years and then puts into action that is helping people.
The learning done by the process is the way to achieving great compassion as having great compassion we can provide the best options for clients and we can treat all client with equal love and compassion regardless of their identity. When we have great compassion, we know what should be examined and accordingly act on it. If there is no great compassion while doing social service than people won't feel it is a reliable source and that would deprive people of the help they need. In brief, having great compassion is like a spring balance that balances between the people who need the services and social worker Who is rendering help to them.
All the things considered I understood great compassion is an epitome quality if one garners that they can truly be from the debt of sufferings. Having great compassion makes a person shine and enhance themselves in becoming a better person. Although the path to awakening great compassion is hard, it is the mother of all other compassion because when we develop great compassion, we become wiser and can have the ability to treat everyone equally. Thus, one should never give up accumulating great compassion for the most difficult roads often lead us to beautiful destinations which can be attaining Bodhicitta. The benefits of practicing great compassion is beyond your imagination. The virtues are great, compassion are limitless. Those who have great compassion can remove all the obstacles caused bay past action.
I as a social worker to be, I am on my way to inculcate those values in myself so that I can be that one productive social worker.
