How one women got lost, said "I do", and Found Bliss.
Married to Bhutan is one of the most intriguing book written by Linda Leaming. She is a well-known author whose works have been featured in several publications .
The book tells the story of an American woman who lived in Bhutan at a remote period before all the luxuries development there and learnt about the country's culture, religion, and customs. Most notably, the book tells the story of her unexpected romance with a Buddhist artist.
After reading this book, I am fascinated by how Linda has depicted everything about our country. The best lines for me from the book is from Linda's note which reads, "The Bhutan I married is a rural Bhutan, full of religion, superstition, wonderful friends and family, hard work and jaw dropping beauty. I never use the word pristine anywhere else, but I do in Bhutan". Those lines were to much considerate and made me feel good to began reading. The book is about the nature of Bhutanese people filled with love and openness. The book is indeed a must read for all those who knows and don't know about the Bhutan and it's culture in olden days.
This is the book that I won as one of the lucky winners selected in 2021 from the "read and shine" lucky draw.
